Twilio

Twilio

Send store briefs, alerts and guest follow-ups by SMS or voice.

Overview

Twilio is the delivery layer underneath most of Nomly's alerts. Programmable Messaging and Voice give Nomly a number to send from, status callbacks that confirm a message actually arrived, and inbound webhooks so a reply from your GM is an event Nomly can act on rather than a text nobody sees. Connected to Nomly, alerts stop living in an app nobody opens mid-service — they land on the phone already in the manager's pocket, and the reply comes back into the same thread.

Configuration Steps

  1. In your Nomly dashboard, navigate to Plugins → Twilio
  2. Click Connect and authorize Nomly with your Twilio account
  3. Choose or provision the number Nomly sends from
  4. Set recipients per location — GM, owner, area manager
  5. Configure quiet hours so alerts respect closing time
  6. Pick the automations it powers (e.g., Daily Store Brief)
  7. Send a test message and turn it on — your automations are live

What you can build with Twilio

Automations operators turn on in their first week — no builder required. Each one can report, ask for approval, or run automatically, within boundaries you set.

Or just ask

  • Who got alerted last night?
  • Which alerts get ignored?
  • What did we text guests this week?
  • Are quiet hours working?
