Overview
Xero is the accounting system of choice for a lot of restaurant groups, and its API is straightforward — with one honest caveat. Xero's webhooks are deliberately narrow: Contacts and Invoices only, delivered as metadata that Nomly then fetches in full. Anything beyond that, such as bank transactions or payments, Nomly reads on a schedule instead. Connected to Nomly, daily sales, tips and tax post themselves as invoices, and a supplier whose totals keep creeping up is flagged before you sign off the month.
Configuration Steps
- In your Nomly dashboard, navigate to Plugins → Xero
- Click Connect and authorize Nomly with your Xero organisation
- Choose the organisation and tracking categories for each location
- Nomly subscribes to Contact and Invoice webhooks, and polls the rest
- Map your revenue, tax and tip accounts
- Pick the automations it powers (e.g., Daily Sales Posting)
- Run a test sync and turn it on — your automations are live
